If you are a teenager reading this I get how confused and upset you are about getting pregnant at this time and point in your life. You are bombarded with thoughts of what your immediate family, extended family, schoolmates, friends, clique would say and think of you. How they would react and treat you if you keep this pregnancy bothers you a lot. If you are a single lady you probably have similar concerns summarily “what would people say?”
If you are married, you are thinking but I just had a child a few months ago, I am not even ready for another child yet, this is not part of the plan , we are not financially ready , the father of the unborn child is neither available nor stable... the questions go on and on
You are thinking I need to get rid of this “thing”
I need you to pause for a moment, and let us view some perspectives, then take your decision :
“You formed the way I think and feel. You put me together in my mother’s womb. praise you because you made me in such a wonderful way. I know how amazing that was! You could see my bones grow as my body took shape, hidden in my mother’s womb. You watched my body grow there. In your book you wrote about all the days planned for me before any of them had happened.” - Psalms 139:13-16 ERV
Our lives are in chapters. Every new year you celebrate is the beginning of a new chapter some people get to chapter 90, some people stop at chapter 20, some at chapter 38, some at chapter 45. That life growing within you already has all their days planned out by God, please don't take away that from the child.
“Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a real blessing.” - Psalms 127:3 GNB
Have you ever given a very precious gift to someone you love and cherish, it could be a friend, family, colleague. Then,the person receives it, unravels the gift ,and flings it right back in your face, sending the gift back to you .
So many people have died trying to have children all their lives. They prayed, went through numerous medical procedures. Some still never got pregnant, some did but never birthed the child(ren) alive. The plot twist to this is some just found out they are pregnant today, this week or recently and their whole families are rejoicing because they had prayed, believed and hoped for this MIRACLE!!!
It's a privilege to carry life! I know it's not the way and timing you wanted it, but just trust God's will to be done.
Say this prayerfully:
"Thank you God for the gift of the new life growing on the inside of me I ask that you please hold my hands through this Journey. I entrust my future and that of my unborn baby into your mighty hands. Please give me wisdom and grant me all the strength and grace I need to make the right decision that would bring you Joy . Please help me God to trust you more than I trust myself in Jesus name Amen"
